For this 2022 SparkFun promotion, I started with a series of sketches and early drafts around ideas for a short run of promotional printed circuit boards. Constellation boards emerged from this brainstorming phase as a team favorite!
Next, I adjusted and fitted constellations sourced from Adobe Stock, ready for silkscreening onto a special run of PCBs to be printed for the occasion. Since we had product specs in hand but no photos yet, I whipped up some vector illustrations of the finished boards & the processors they would be paired with, for the deal that was set to run during the product release.
The purpose of the first in this set of images was to serve as the featured content banner representing this promotion on SparkFun’s sales website, sparkfun.com . The second image was for use as a teaser image in our weekly newsletter, and the remaining three were varied options to represent the deal as it ran throughout our website and newsletter.
The only stock elements used here (under a paid Adobe Stock license) are the starfields seen in the backgrounds of these first three images.
