This video is designed to serve as a brief “explainer” for SparkFun Electronics’ MicroMod product ecosystem.
After scriptwriting and storyboarding were initially completed, I began by creating a stylized illustration of each featured board in Adobe Illustrator.



A variety of ancillary vector illustrations were also made during this stage – I did my best to craft every piece of this project (with the exception of the hexagonal background texture seen throughout the video, which was stock brought in from preexisting materials) from scratch where I could.
Next, I brought all of the moving pieces into After Effects for animation.
The above frames were exported from earlier iterations of this video, representing a few of the changes in color scheme, contrast & other styling choices that took place on the journey from those versions to the final video shown above.
